holy shit!
(it's not letting me post any pictures at the moment)

was this fun? i think for us ALL it was more fun than looking at a bunch of freaking lanterns!

seriously TONS of kids, TONS Of colorful confetti, TONS of crazy costumes and masks.

god i love freaky shit.

it was so so great to be in the thick of.

gernot was a little overwhelmed though and i had to put him back in the stroller after an hour of him and wolfie throwing confetti all over me.

then on the way back i stopped at the big coop on tram line 16 ( i walked--basel is not big and i could walk from where i am staying to city center in less than half an hour without kids and a stroller) but my cotton picking visa wouldn't work in the machine and of course i am getting yelled at in swiss german (what else is new?) and i keep saying 'sprecheze english?' and so the guy put my groceries on hold and i had to get cash from the ATM again!

so some days my card works and other days it just doesn't.

either way, today was a tough day. it is nice not having the appointments but i think i will like it better when i DO have appointments and things to do and places to go and so on.

i fell down yesterday and a stroller and two kids landed on me and my back feels very wonky today!
