going to geneva

so i have to wait to find out but joachim is going to ask the lady in HR if i really have to go to geneva to get my ID or if they can somehow get it to the BIS bank here.

come to find out i am on a diplomatic work visa status...he said something about this and why i have to physically go there to get my ID instead of it coming here.

no clue. either way it would be cool to take the kids (maybe) on the train a couple hours that way and spend the day there at least.

i've never been there so i'm down!

sometimes i get frustrated with gernot. he's not a bad kid but he's really hard to manage sometimes.....i don't think it's a language thing because he really does understand english....time outs seem to work as does taking his toys away....

today wolfram spoke for the first time in english.
i am trying to get them to keep their heads up and eyes up because they run into people and street signs a lot so today i was saying 'eyes up' and about half hour later, wolfram just says 'eyes up me shell'

they call me 'mee shell'

i say 'zer good' and then gernot chimed in with his 'eyes up' but when their parents get home they won't speak any of the english that i teach them but wolfram did for tamara so i didn't feel like a liar!

they are so excited that their kids are learning english.

tomorrow is friday. so excited.

i am going to some party on saturday night at midnight. i feel like i am getting old. midnight? i'll have to do a lot of resting on saturday during the day but i think also the weather will be nice and maybe i will make it to mullhouse, france.

my new flat is a five minute walk apparently from the german boarder.

i should get the contract in a couple days and then be on my way to feeling like i am actually living here.

i think they will be sad when i leave...they say that they wouldn't mind me living here but that they totally understand that i need my own space....so ate least i am not annoying them.

they sometimes think i am mad or something when i hang out in my room at night instead of with them but i told them today that it's not that i don't want to hang with them but that i also need some ME time.....and on the weekends too....just trying to let them have family time and such!

anyhoodle....i am just trying to keep myself sane and healthy. the gray is still here but it hasn't rained since tuesday!
