the cool flat or the tiny flat....

so i got my application to this other woman for this super huge cool flat near the river and train yards that has two rooms and a balcony for 770 CHF a month and the other lady hasn't called today about her decision as to the small one room flat with no balcony for the same price.

the first lady, balcony house, says she needs 2310 CHF plus a months rent for a deposit. is she crazy? this is 4 months rent up front? so i get a few months free or something?

i wrote her back to ask what the hell. i know i was maybe going to have to pay at the most 3 months up front but not 4!!

today was ROUGH.

gernot had appt at 11 then we get done there, no time to come home and so we went to get a golden muffin from starbucks....then i take tram 2 past the zoo and into this place called binningen and hop on the 61 bus and go out to the middle of nowhere basel to a horse farm!

gernot enjoyed the horse! animals are great for kids.

either way it was pouring rain and they hadn't napped so they were both cranky and mee moo was a bit on the cranky side as well....but such is life. now i know how to get everywhere and that it doesn't take as much time as i thought it would so i can adjust!

but mother fucking PHEW!

they are now just down for naps!

when gernot falls down it's as if the seventh layer of hell opens up and life becomes totally unbearable for all of us!

it's as if someone drove a nail in his eyes!

i do my best to console him but he shrieks like crazy!
i've never experienced this amount of crying and he didn't even draw blood!

either way, i just stopped what we were doing and we took a moment to just chill out and did some breathing (i did the breathing i think!)

just another wet cold rainy drizzly day in ye old basel!

i really want this other flat the one with the balcony!
i hope she was just crazy when she wrote that the deposit is 4 months rent.
