happy monday!

today has been an interesting weather day for sure.

this morning i woke up at 2 AM to pouring rain....managed to toss and turn the rest of the night and woke up finally at six. the clouds were totally cleared out and the sun was even peeking out behind some clouds.

the morning was nice. i dropped gernot off at his play group and took wolfie to get coffee and a muffin....then i went to the kantonal bank and unlike banks in the US where you can just sign in and open an account, i had to make an appointment to open an account....the lady said all i needed was some cold hard cash and a passport so this will occur on friday...

then i went to the big coop and got myself a pillow and pillowcase (orange) because while the one pillow of tamaras is nice, i prefer a couple pillows! i used the gift card ginny gave me to purchase this pillow. i also got a spiral notebook....all the notebooks here have graph paper style paper instead of lined paper.

this will be my german learning notebook!

i have now just scraps of paper for my german studies....

so the weather was great and nice and then we had pasta for lunch and i cleaned up and put the kids down for their naps and it's snowing like a mother fucker out there and the sky is pretty darn pitch gray!

much like philly and dee cee, the snow probably doesn't have much of a chance in sticking...but i think it's cold enough that it will.

joachim called the lady i went to see on friday about the flat by the zoo and she didn't have any other questions but that they would let me know tuesday of their decision.

i am praying to all things that are holy that this woman thinks i will be a perfect fit for her precious apartment building!

then i can get on with getting a bed to go with my pillow!

i suppose after naps we will hang at the house cause it's once again crap weather.

i guess that's all for the day so far.
