busy couple days

this week has been pretty busy with the kiddos during the days and my friend susan here at night!

the weather got pretty whack this week.

yesterday it poured rain and got freezing cold in the span of an hour then cleared up a bit and rained overnight.

today it was really nice, kind of cool but manageable...around one this afternoon it rained then we were pelted with hail. i love hail. i don't know why...it was cool to watch it come down...gernot had woken up during the storm and wasn't as impressed as i was....he was more into getting his chocolate milk.

susan came on wednesday and we hung out during the day yesterday and then last night we made dinner at my home...very delicious salads...then we watched zoolander.

i had fitful sleep last night and so was quite exhausted today and we had to run all over the place. after i dropped the boys off at their play group i went to the coop got some groceries and lunch, ate lunch and passed out for almost 2 hours.

i am now babysitting!

susan and i are planning our trip to rome and pompeii. i am thrilled. the train from here to milan isn't very expensive so i think i will fly to rome, train to naples/pompeii and then train back to milan then train to basel.

not really sure.

tomorrow i get a dresser! still no chairs. one day i will purchase chairs.
i might have to bit the bullet and have shit delivered from ikea cause i really would like a kitchen table and some patio furniture....

i am also going to invest in a travel back pack. (about time, right?)

i have may first off which is a three day weekend. i am considering going to see susan but i think i might either go to munich or somewhere in switz....st. gallen sounds interesting and i have not been to bern (home of the HR Geiger museum) or lucerne. switzerland is really a pretty place, not destroyed in the war, which seems to be the general complaint of people in germany.

learned today that munich, before the war, documented what the city looked like and reconstructed it this way. seems cool.

the amazing adventures of kavalier and clay is about a kid who makes it to america from prague, another city that was not destroyed in the war....

i have started a hand written journal for the boys instead of using the internet. i am writing about them both instead of making separate ones per the request of the parents.

they want to have a weekly meeting with me now to discuss progress. the speech therapist wants to stop treatments with gernot for a while....

i think he has some appointment in zurich with a fancy eye doctor....he has crossed eyes unless he wears his glasses.....speaking of glasses, i wish to get some freaking prescription sunglasses!

i have seen some super crazy looking ones!

i am rambling.
