back to work....

it's nice to see basel back in working order today....stores open and so on.

today gernot started his intensive therapy meaning we have to be at the hospital every morning at nine AM and he gets picked up at 11. he has limited use of his right hand so this therapy straps his left hand/arm in a brace for six hours a day and i have to make him do things only with his right hand.

i wish they did this stuff for my brother when he was little. perhaps there was more of a stigma associated with 'handicapped' people then....maybe my parents didn't care enough.....maybe there wasn't any money for that since my dad was a horrible gambler...who knows...in any case it's nice to see how much care this kid gets...in some ways i wonder if i am trying to not feel so guilty about my brother...oh the inner turmoil!

either way my pal shawn sent a groovy care pack today with mac and cheese, magazines from the US, comics, cd's and a movie and some books! thanks dude it was awesome to open!

what else...oh yeah!

i changed my ticket and will be coming to dee cee on henry's birthday! i get into dulles that day on a saturday at 1 PM!

so yay!

going to chris and stephs wedding on the 11th and have time to play that whole week.

next step will be getting a ticket back here!

anyhoo gernot is of course up after his lovely one hour nap!
