patron saint of finding a home

i have another appointment tomorrow near the rhine to look at a small flat.

apparently the man told me that if i want it right then i can sign a contract immediately!

sounds like one doesn't go through what one has to go through in the US to get a home....and the laundry issues there are better than the place i saw yesterday.

at this place i can sign up for any time slot that is open.

it also takes two hours to run a washer here....odd.

i am going to the doctors with the kids this afternoon cause they both have high fevers....which the tylenol isn't helping.

but i think that her giving them chocolate milk doesn't really help much either.

they should be on water or juice, no?

tomorrow morning i go to UBS to open my bank account and i couldn't register with basel today because i didn't have my work visa....but the visa is here at the house so i think we will take this with us. today they gave me an application for a work visa but since i have this already well, tamara just laughed and said the lady mis-understood her question as to what was needed in order to register me.

once i register i get a letter.

then i get some kind of swiss ID card.

i am having some coffee....just ate some bread (what else is new)

i will be meeting a new potential friend on wednesday so that will be nice....i have no friends here so it's important i make a good first impression!

saint joseph is the patron saint of finding a home.
i don't pray but i do wish upon this saint to stay with me as i look at this place tomorrow.

whoop!
