so i got a phone. it's a prepay phone which is nice and it's 39 cents a minute and then half that after the first minute or some crap
i can text message the US which is just well, a relief.
i was beginning to miss a lot of these things.
getting me situated here is a pain in the ass.
we went to the basel registration office this morning and they say i need this swiss ID card first which takes like six months.
i can't be sure i can live here for six months....i need my own place.
but i do have the contract and the visa so i am not sure what the MF-ing problem is.
of course i get emotional about pretty much everything so it was trying for sure.
then we went to the bank and unlike the US i had to make an appointment for thursday morning. i am not even sure they will let me have an account without this swiss ID card so i am thinking 'what's the point?'
my fucking gmail won't work right now and that's annoying so my facebook is working....

aaargh! definitely involve your bosses in this as much as you can; I suspect their help will be critical here.

they did say that the HR lady who is handling all this fucking ID shit would be a contact to call these landlords to explain the situation.
