the parents want me to only speak to him in english and to try to not get the kids to teach me german which i think will be totally impossible so don't tell them that!
we had fun playing legos and watching weird german cartoons.
he hated going down for a rest but i think it was too early but he had horse back riding this afternoon as well as a doctors appointment. there is so much running around!
i am glad next week when i start full time we have zero appointments!
so then i went to metzplatz to meet stephan and then i got on my space helmet and goggles and i wish i had a photo of me in this get up! i looked like some odd space creature!
so then we get on the highway and well the people drive so fast here!
he said he kept it tame for lil old me which was very nice but i eventually relaxed and really enjoyed being on the motorcycle. i could very well see myself learning how to be a motorcycle owner....it was fun to watch the mountains on the right with the snow caps....apparently the black forest.
it didn't take long to get to freiburg. i was there once for a while but i didn't see what i saw today so that was awesome.

it was just kind of nice to get away from all this talk about getting my 'papers' in order and to meet a new person that is a very cool person!
i got myself some 'schnitzel' which was divine and some pomme frittes and a coke. i love the coke here by the way. so nice and full of the syrup!
then it was off to this cool coffee shop called 'karma' with these cool lights...

i drank two cappucinos (oh how i love coffee here).
the coffee came with these 'candies' and i didn't really know it would explode in my mouth but it was this gooey marshmallow stuff. very weird!
the second cup came with the same kind of candy but with fake coconut all over it. not my speed. stephan ate that for me!
it was just a great day to meet stephan, the sun was shining.....the wind was great, the ride was amazing....i wasn't scared after a bit....my neck started hurting and then i forced myself to do some breathing and i relaxed for the rest of the ride.
i look forward to riding in the black forest once spring comes.
until then, i am going to france this weekend....to eat more weird foodstuffs and have another great adventure.
so the ups the downs....taking it all in stride....learning how the kids here are....how the parents are....they are SO DIFFERENT than P and S in that i have to be really reserved with gernot because they say if he gets too excited he will have a seizure and while i kind of agree i kind of don't agree. my brother gets really excited and he didn't always have seizures!
i had to give up my passport today to mail to the place where i get my ID card and with fasnacht next week i have a feeling i won't see my passport for a few weeks. aaack. hopefully i won't get in trouble if we get stopped coming back into switzerland but i suppose i can carry my dee cee license and explain what the hell i am doing without a passport.....fuck it. crying really helps a lot in these kinds of situations and i am good at letting loose the tears!
it was a great awesome day and i am thankful for new people in my life and all you oldies!
much love and kiss kiss
