going to the coop

so i got up 12 hours later than i really wanted to but i guess travel takes it out of a person.

the family was gone when i got up.

i say DRATS cause i wanted to go to germany to do the food shopping
they said they get tax money back from taking goods from there to here.

no clue.

so i hope that at the coop i went to i got coffee with caffeine in it and i couldn't find any soy milk so i got the (what i think is) skim milk.

everyone eats bread and jam for brekkie so i got some bread and strawberry jam, a bottle of coke, pasta (barilla if you can imagine that) and barilla sauce and some moootzarella cheese in a bag....

i did see kinder eggs. i'll be sending out some eggs soon.

it's very weird to wake up knowing i am not going 'home'

today we will be calling and emailing places for me to live as i find that i want this to be the first order of business.

i am thankful that i have american movies for my mac.....and music!

no one smiles at you here but i smile anyhow. it is my mission to change the rough exterior of the swiss people!

more to come and i will start, no doubt, taking photos.

the weather is very much like DC in that it's cloudy and chilly!

but march/april is round the corner and then i will get to sit and sip coffee on the rhine or take a train to zurich or austria or wherever the hell!

i miss my friends already but they are going to introduce me to some wacky artist guy that lives next door and the neighborhood kids. there are no parks that i can see nearby in my walking this morning....

the houses all are different, old. old is a good word. america is so young compared to this place. however, it's also pretty modern....i guess.....pedestrians are gold here and all cars stop and at least they drive on the same side of the road here so i won't die crossing the road like i did once in london.
